www.soundcloud.com/andreaskrachSometimes the intended purpose of the producer of an industrial produced object is not the only one possible. In his workshop, Andreas "Krach" Stoiber shows how mixing tables can be transformed into analog synthesizers, as to produce raspy drones, feeping and clacking modulations and gurgling vibrations. The no-input music describes the use of a machine as sound-producing which was originally created as a machine to process sound. In the workshop technical basics and acoustic phenomena and definitions will be discussed as well as possible techniques, the connecting of different mixing tables and the use of externals – equipment and effects or midified processors. The Workshop is open to everyone. Please bring, if possible, your own equipment, mixing tables, cables and earphones. Damage, even if not likely, is not ruled out so old or used equipment is probably better. Mixing tables with built-in interfaces are not suitable.
